9 Days Daocheng Yading Utopian Outer Kora Trekking Tour

We will meet at the designated location at 6am and drive towards Shangrila and then reach Yading Scenic Site at around 3pm. Get into the site and take the shuttle bus to Yading Village. Our tour leader will have a brief meeting at around 7pm.

Today we will take the shuttle bus and go to the Chonggu Temple (trekking starting point). We will trek about 8km to Boyongcuo. Have lucn during the trek around noon and then continue to trek 4hrs to the Boyongcuo BC. You have have a far view of the 3 holy mountains from the base camp.

After breakfast, we will depart at around 9am. After 2hrs trek, we will reach the Cuogaida Pass. Follow the pass going down and we will get to the Niangcuo View Platform. Continue to trek for 1hr we will pass by the Galuo Pasture. If weather condition is not good enough, we may cross the Sagading Pass and reach Galuo Pasture. Trek via Chagong Pasture and follow the river valley all the way down, walk through the primary forest and follow the Baishui River, we will get to the Konka Zhaze BC. Today's base camp is with the lowest altitude during the camping days and offers the best view of Mt. Xianuoduoji.

Altitude: Boyongcuo BC-4750m; Cuogaida Pass-5036m; Qiesagading Pass-4900m; Konka Zhaze BC-4100m

Weather permits, we will be able to watch the sunrise of Mt. Xianuoduoji. After breakfast, we will climb up few hours to the Xianuoduoji Pass. During today's trek, we will have bird view of many pastures and then reach today's base camp Zabala BC. Today is the easiest day during the trek so we will have good rest.

Trek: 7km, 4-5hrs, 600m↑ 260m↓
Altitude: Konka Zhaze BC-4100m; Xianuoduoji Pass-4500m; Zabala BC-4400m

Today we will ascend 300m and cross the Zabala Pass. It may take about 1-2hrs. Afterwards, we will go all the way down o the Niangxi Pasture and then cross the Yangmaiyong Pass. Later we will get to Xinguo Pasture BC.

Trek: 10km, 6-8hrs, 760m↑ 900m↓

Altitude: Zabala BC-4400m; Zabala Pass-4750m; Yangmaiyong Pass-4400m; Xinguo Pasture BC-4300m

After breakfast we will climb several passes and get to the Heihu Pass at around noon. You will have a far view of Heihu Lake. Later we will continue to trek to the Jiadu Pasture and then reach the famous Rock Stone. Trek down for 200m, we will go to the Shehu BC. If sky is clear, we will be able to take photo of milkway with Mt. Yangmaiyong at night.

Trek:13km, 7-8hrs, 1200m↑ 800m↓

Altitude: Xinguo Pasture-4300m; Heihu Pass-4720m; Jiadu Pasture-4600m; Shehu Pass-4730m; Shehu BC-4650m

Climb across the Songduo Pass, we will reach the Milk Sea and Five Color Sea. Go to the location which offers view of both lakes and then return back to Songduo Pass and go all the way down to Resongcuo and reach Kasi Niupeng BC.

Trek: 13km, 6-8hrs, 500m↑ 720m↓

Altitude: Shehu BC-4650m; Songduo Pass-4670m; Resongcuo-4500m; Kasi Niupeng BC-4430m

Depart in the morning and trek for 3-4hrs and reach the last pass of our trekking trip-Songluo Pass. Cross the pass and descend to a forest. Walk on the wood planks and you will reach the Pearl Sea, where offers a best view of holy Mt. Nairi. Later we will go to Chonggu Monastery and then take the scenic site shuttle bus back to Yading Village to get rest.

Altitude: Kasi Niupeng BC-4430m; Songluo Pass-4650m; Pearl Sea-4150m; Yading Village-3900m

Get up in the morning and have breakfast. Pack all your luggages and we will depart towards Shangrila. There are about 250km distance. After arrival, tour ends. You can explore Shangrila city on your own. The estimate arrival time to Shangrila is around 3pm. It's suggested to leave the next day just in case there is traffic jam or traffic control on the way.
