8 days Qinghai kekexili and Qaidam basin tour in depth

Fly to Xining on your own, upon arrival, we will pick you up from Xining international airport and drive your hotel

The rest day will be on your own. You have a local night evening food exploring tour on your own to taste the local food and enjoy the local culture.

Overnight at Xinning

After breakfast, we will head to the Qinghai lake, here we will at “Daotanghe” section-one of the best photo shooting place for 1hr. Then we will drive to Chaka Salt lake, one of the largest salt lake in Qinghai province, when step into the lake, you can distinguish the lake from land or the sky, just like you are in unique universal.

We have left sufficient time around 2.5hrs for you explore the fairytale world. At last, we will drive to Delingha for overnight stay.

In early morning, we will drive through G315 road and will have a short stop at Small Qaidam basin and stop at famous “U” Shape road for photo take around 30 minutes. This “ U” Shape road looks stunning on the vast Gobi desert. Driving forward, we will reach East Taiger lake, also referred to be “ East Maldives”, its beaty can match with Jiuzhaigou valley in Sichuan. After sometime of visit of East Taiger lake, we will reach Wusute Water Yadan landform, here we will spend around 2 hours to have a deep explore for this great landscape view.

Then we will continue our way to West Taiger Lake. This features with 2 different colors and distinguished & separate by the two sides of the road G315, one side is jade blue while the other is jade green. After a fascinating day, we will drive to Mang’ai town for overnight stay.

After an overnight beautiful sleep and delicious breakfast, we will head toward our first visit for today from 9am- Aiken Spring ,also called “ Eyes of devil” . It is a local heat spring and no plants or living creatures can habituates nearby because of the heat. The shape of spring looks very much like the shape of an “ eye”, very stunning and intriguing.

After lunch break, we will drive to Feicui lake and here will spend around 1.5hrs to visit this beautiful lake. The colors of this lake will change according to sunlight just like most lakes in Tibet, in early after, it would be the most beautiful colors, the lake is also embraced the mountains, so it is quite a view with good weather. Then we will drive to Lake Gas Hure and spend 1hr here, this lake boundary line for qiekelike mountain and Alar grassland. It is a salt lake with some flower shaped salt crystals on the surface with clean blue bottoms which can take you breath away with its great beauty.

We will offer free visit to the blue cave salt spring. It is also referred to be the “ Eyes of the land” with bule cave eye shape, it is also salt lake.

After a beautiful, we will have good rest at delicatedly choosen hotel at Mang’ai

After breakfast, we will drive to recently reputed Mars #1 road, it is a deserted national highway, driving on this road , you will across miles of Yardang landscapes without spotting a car or a human being which makes you feel like you are travelling on the planted of Mars. Due to this strange yet novel feeling, where will offer one free experience at the Mars Campsite where you can wear a space suit, just like an astronaut, it is a good and funny

experience with your friends and family. Fun-cospay time. Just opposite the Mars Campsite, it is the famous “EBOLIANG No man’s land area” where you can vast numbers of turtle back shaped Yardang landform, very extraordinary nature view. The last visit for today would be Qarhan Salt lake. Here we will plan 2 hrs visit to explore this beautiful inland salt lake. It has several shinning colors under the strong sunlight, very good for photo taking. Then we will drive to Golmud for overnight stay

After breakfast, we will drive along G109 national highway toward the largest Noman’s land Kekexili. Our first stop on the way would be “ Mount Kunlun Pass” ,it is also an important landmark for Qinghai-Tibet highway. After a short stop here, we will drive to Kunlun Holy Spring, it’s a non-frozen spring at high plateau of average 3700m. We also call it “ never aged spring or water “ on earth, visiting time here would be approximated half an hour. After that we will continue our way to Wuji Dragon & Phoenix Palace, it is highest Taoist temple in the world while Rongbuk monastery is the highest Buddhism temple in Tibet. Next stop would be Jade Mt.Everest Platform where you can thousands of miles of snow mountains, it is also the training base for mountain climbers. Our last visit for toady would be Kekexili-Sonandaj protection site where the average altitude is over 4500m, a vast area of no man’s land. By good chance, you will able to spot wild yaks, antelopes and wild Dongkeys. We planed 1 hr visit for this site for safety and high altitude reason.  Finally we drive back to Golmud for a good rest.

PS: We will provide free packed lunch for this day as today, we have no restaurants on the way for lunch

After breakfast, we will towards Dulan county ， a very important small for the famous “ silk road”, it is in the north east direct Qaidam Baisin. During June to September ( the blossom period), we will visit Hai Temple flower sea, listening to the the explanations of the tour guide , you can understand more the culture  of the Hai temple. If not, in blossom season, we will not stop Hai temple flower sea, instead , we will offer one free visit to Panchen Residence. This great building situates in a greed land and surrounded by vast Gobi Deseret, attracting many religious people to come to worship. Finally we will drive to Xining/Lanzhou upon your decision and end this fascinating day.

 

Today will be at your own dispose til your departure.  After an memorable trip, finally we will say Farwell to you in the airport and wish you good & safe journey to your sweet home and we hope you join us again for next great adventure.
