6 Days Gannan Zhagana Sacred Trekking Tour

Arrive in Lanzhou and check in the hotel we booked for you on your own. The rest time is for you to relax and hang around on your own. If you want to, taking a stroll in the night market and trying the famous local cuisines （Lanzhou Lamen) will be an amzing experience! We will have a brief meeting at around 7pm at the hotel lobby to check if you have all the necessary trekking equipment needed so we can be prepared in advance!

We will depart after the breakfast and drive all the way to Zhagana. Due to the long distance, we may depart between 7:30am-8:30am. In the afternoon, continue to proceed to the mysterious Zhgana, a village built at the foot of mountains, which is also why Chinese people call it "Stone City". The estimate arrival time would be around 5:30pm.

After breakfast, we will start the trekking. After a shot distance on the paved road, we will reach the gate of the canyon, which is called Jiana Stone Gate. After entering the canyon, the trekking route becomes wider. After 2 hours' trekking, we will reach the foot of Niegandawa Holy Mountain (3560m) and have lunch there as well. In the afternoon, proceed to trek eastwards via Zhagana Stone Forest. The altitude is getting higher and higher. After crossing Mt. Guanggai  Pass, Jiabuke Pass and 1.5h's trekking, we will see the Dongcai Camp.

Today we are going to trek across the highest point of the trekking route (Kalake Pass, 4140m), so be prepared. After breakfast, we will trek over 3 passes that's around 3800m-3950m. Afterwards, we will see a boundless pasture where many Tibetan yaks live. Continue to trek downwards for about 0.5 hour, we will reach the Qikena Mountain.

Trek: 12KM, 6-7HRS, 900M ↑, 400M ↓
Altitude: 3800M

  

Leave the Base Camp after breakfast and trek cross the creek. Then we will trek downwards to Dabianshi and Naizi Mountain. When you see lots of nomad's home, you reach the Anziku Pasture (3160m). Like the famous Shangri-la, people and nature are perfectly blending together. Enjoy the paradise today!

Trek: 12KM, 6-7HRS, 300M ↑, 700M ↓
Altitude: 3200M

After breakfast, today's trekking starts! Cross Laohuzui and reach Suoke Pass, which is the last pass we will climb during our trip. Continue trekking down, we will reach the forest & creeks. Later we will see nomads and the paved roads gradually. We will reach the Dayu Valley Scenic Site at around 1pm~2pm. Then we will drive back to Lanzhou (267km). The estimate arrival time back to Lanzhou is around 8pm.

Note: If you want to leave Lanzhou today, please book tickets later than 10:30pm. But we suggest you to take next day transport because there may be occasional traffic jam (especially during holidays)
