4 Days Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong Park Car Tour

Other option: Take Chengdu Jiuzhaigou fast train to Songpan and drive 25km about 30 minutes to Chuanzhusi town

Early morning, meet at designated point in Chengdu and drive to Chuanzhusi, it shall be shall be 6 -7 hours driving.

Chuanzhusi is small town with an elevation of 2980 meters (9777 feet), Chuanzhusi Town or Chuanzhu Si is a peaceful, exotic town with a mix of Tibetan culture, beautiful natural scenery, ancient city, and convenient modern facilities. For travelers to visit Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong National Parks, allow yourself half day or one night in Chuanzhusi Town to experience something very unique.  Chuanzhusi Town is favorably located, facing Huanglong Village on the east and Hongyuansedi Village on the west, and close to Bozuo Village, Zoige Country. The town is a colony for several minority groups, including Tibetans, Qiang people, Hui people and Han people. The Tibetans, Chuanzhusi’s largest ethnic group, have been living here for centuries and still keep the Tibetan traditions. Therefore, making a trip to Chuanzhusi, you can experience authentic Tibetan foods, architectures, temples. music, dance.

 

After a good breakfast, we will drive 25km to Huanglong Park. Huanglong Valley has one of three most outstanding travertine lake terraces in the world. Colorful pools, snowcapped mountains, verdant forests, and a peaceful valley are Huanglong’s four highlights.

To save your energy and time, you can take a cable car to the valley top, and then walk down the valley to enjoy the fantastic scenery all around you, this sightseeing will take about 3- 4 hours to complete . Or you can hike along the valley by walking, hike up and walk down, take about 6 – 7 hours. It’s recommended for you to pack some lunch and water for this tour.  There is no restaurant in the park.

After sightseeing, we will drive to Jiuzhaigou for overnight stay. It is about 105km, 2 hour driving.  We shall book a hotel within 20 minutes walking distance to Jiuzhaigou Park

In order to have more time in the park and avoid the crowding, you will start early to discover Jiuzhaigou (‘Nine Village Valley’) Scenic Area, a wonderland named for its nine Tibetan villages.

You will visit Jiuzhaigou’s three main valleys: Shuzheng Valley, Rize Valley, and Zechawa Valley. There, waiting for your appreciation, is the picturesque natural scenery of clear alpine lakes, overlapping waterfalls, colorful forests, snowcapped mountains, and blue ice.

Private vehicles are not allowed inside, so you will take the shuttle buses in the scenic area and touring around. A buffet lunch can be arranged in Nuorilang Restaurant, which is the only restaurant in Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. But we would recommend to pack some lunch with you.

After breakfast, you will take the car transfer back to Chengdu to designated place in Chengdu and end up the service

Other option: Take Chengdu Jiuzhaigou bullet train back to Chengdu from Huanglong Jiuzhai station
