16 Days Xinjiang Luxury Panda Train Tour June to Mid Aug. 2026

Arrive in Kuqa in the morning and then we will drive 1.5hr to the 【Mysterious Tianshan Grand Canyon】(about 60 mins). It is known as one of the top ten most beautiful canyons in China, located at the southern foot of the Tianshan Mountains. It is situated in an inland arid area, covered with fine sand and accompanied by gurgling clear springs, making it a unique sight. Later we will change to local transit vehicle and cross the southern section of the 【Duku Road】, from the Tianshan Grand Canyon to the Bayinbuluk section. The distance is about 190 kilometers and the driving time is about 3.5 hours. Along the way, you can enjoy the scenery of Longchi Lakes, Tianshan Snow Mountain and Tielimaiti Daban. Afterwards, we will continue drive to the 【Bayinbluk Swan Lake】 (about 180 mins). This is the second largest grassland in China, with abundant water and grass, surrounded by snow capped peaks, and undulating terrain. The famous "Swan Lake " is the only swan nature reserve in China, where you can watch flocks of swans and enjoy the most beautiful sunset at the same time. Today we will stay at the hotel in Bayinbluk.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and continue sightseeing along the middle section of the 【Duku Road】 in the local transit vehicle. The distance from Bayinbuluk to Naraty is about 70 kilometers, and the driving time is about 2 hours. Upon arrival, we will enjoy the 【Naraty Grassland】 (about 300 mins). This is a national 5A level scenic area known as the "Top Four Grasslands of Asia and Europe ". It is also regarded as the "Jiangnan beyond the Great Wall". Here, you can enjoy the stunning scenery of dense mountain springs, crisscrossing streams, high towers, dotted local yurts and relaxing cows & sheep. At the same time, you can experience the simple folk customs of the Kazakh people and se yourself free on the vast grasslands. Today a roasted lamb will be arranged for our meal.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and later we will visit the 【Tianshan Flower Sea】 (about 120 mins). With 24000 acres of lavender flower sea as the core landscape, it is the world' s largest single lavender planting area. You can appreciate various flower sceneries in different seasons: peonies in May, lavender in June and July, and sunflowers in August. Then continue to drive about 1.5hr to Yining City, where the famous 【Liuxing Street】 locates. Liuxing Street has a long history and is famous for its unique hexagonal streets and alleys. It is now inhabited by residents of Han, Kazakh, Hui, Uyghur, Russian, Tatar and other ethnic groups. This is a large cultural tourism scenic spot with beautiful environment, stability, harmony and vitality.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and drive about 2.5hrs to 【Sayram Lake】(about 180 mins). This place was formerly known as the Western Pure Sea, with the nickname of "the last tear of the Atlantic ". It is the highest and largest high-altitude cold water lake in Xinjiang, a national 5A level scenic spot, and is covered in flowers and colorful hues. Up close, you can see the clear water and blue sky, sparkling with waves. Then we will go to Yining Railway Station or Jinghe South Railway Station and board the Panda Train to Beitun City.

Arrive in Beitun in the morning and we will drive about 5hrs to 【Hemu】(about 300 mins). Today we will stay the overnight in Hemu Scenic Site. During the visit, we will take the scenic site shuttle bus to the Ertix River, head to the largest white birch forest in China, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Hemu River, visit the Hemu River Valley, admire the flowers of Jiadengyu on the high mountain grassland, appreciate the the Hemu River wooden bridge and admire the Wawa Village. Today we will also have time to have a tea break in Hemu Village and a drone photography activity will be arranged. Later tonight we will stay in the characteristic wooden lodge in Hemu.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. If you want to, you can get up early or go to the 【Hadeng View Platform】 in the morning to watch the sunrise of Hemu Village. Later, we will drive about 2.5hrs to 【Kanas】 (about 300 mins). It is known as the "last pure land of mankind" and "God' s backyard". Stroll along the wooden boardwalk by the lake, admire the peaceful Moon Bay, magical Fairy Bay, and ethereal Wolong Bay. Experience the unique 【Kanas cruise】 and fully appreciate the beautiful scenery of lakes and mountains.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then we will visit the 【Fish Pavilion】 (60 mins). In the morning, when the mist dissipates, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the mysterious 【Kanas Lake】. Enjoy a local style lunch at Kanas Scenic Area. Time permitting, you can continue to explore the scenery of the of Kanas. Later, we will go to Burqin and enjoy a special cold water fish feast for dinner here. Then we will continue to Beitun and board the Panda Train at Beitun Railway Station going to Urumqi.

Enjoy breakfast on the Panda Train and we will arrive in Urumqi. The drive to the Tianshan 【Heavenly Lake】 takes about 1 hr and we will spend about 180 mins there for sightseeing. This is a nationally renowned 5A level scenic area known as the "Human Jade Pool" and a world-renowned mountain lake. Upon arrival at the scenic area, you will be guided by a dedicated tour guide and take a shuttle bus to the scenic area, from which you can enjoy a far view of the famous Bogda Peak. Later we will drive back to Urumuqi and check into the hotel after dinner.

After enjoying breakfast, we will head to the train station and board the Panda Train to return. Today ’ s on-board activities: Chess and Card Games, Board Games, Singing Activity

Remarks: Guests who disembark from Lanzhou will enjoy breakfast on the Chengdu Train. Lunch is not included.
