The average temperature in January for Mt. Siguniang is 3 below 0 ℃. So it's kind of quite cold, need take warm winter clothes and winter boots for travelling to Mt.Siguniang. When it snows, it'is just like a fairtale world.

Mt.Siguniang is referred to be as East Apls moutain in China. It is about 220km away from Chengdu, 4 hours driving. A good escape from city life to the mountains. Mt.Siguniang is suitable to travel whole year around travel as it has different view in  4 seasons

Mt.Siguniang ( Four sisters mountains) consits of 4 mountains peaks and 3 valleys. The four mountains peaks are : The oldest girls mountain - also called Dafeng is of 5025metres high , The 2nd gril Mountain peak- also called Erfeng  is of 5276 metres high, The 3rd girl mountain peak-also called Sanfeng is of 5355 metres hight, the Youngest girl peak-also called Yaomeifeng is of 6250metres. Mt.Siguniang ( Four Sister Mountains) is the paradize for outdoor loves, each year, it attracts hundres of people to come and climb these peaks. It would be a very good experience for starters who would like to challenge their first snow mountain climb over 5000m.

However, if you are not very experienced mountain climbers, Yaomeifen ( 6250m) is not suitable to climb, it is even more difficult  than Mt. Everest Climb (8848.8).  So far, there are only 13 sucess of summit reach and many climbers had lost their life during the climb. So now, only Dafeng, Erfeng and Sanfeng climb are open tourists.

For Sanfeng Summit climb, it would not be possible from November to April due to the snow. However Dafeng and Erfeng is reachable most year around.

Other than Mountain climb, you can also arrange sightseeing tours as there are three valleys:   Changping Valley ,  Shuangqiao valley  and Haizi Valley.   Shuangqiao valley has the reputation of Small Jiuzhaigou park so you can image it must be a very beautiful valley. Like Jiuzhaigou park, you can also tour around Shuangqiao valley by shuttle bus, during winter time, some tourists also come here for ice climbing.   Changping Valley is very good choice for short hiking tours and also good trainning place before Mountain climb.  Haizi Valley is only for trekking or Mountain climbing entrance only.

What's the weather like in January for Mt.Siguniang ( Four Sister Mountain)?

The average temperature in January for Mt.Siguniang is 3 below 0 ℃. So it's kind of quite cold, need take warm winter clothes and winter boots for travelling to Mt.Siguniang. When it snows, it'is just like a fairtale world. If it does not snow, it is acutally very warm when the sun comes out, you do not feel the coldness except in the morning and in the evening. Night temperature may even drop to 10 below 0℃.
