Tibet Border Permit

The "Tibet Border Permit " is the official pass for the remote areas where Tibet meets the rest of the world, including Mount Qomolangma, Zhangmu Town, Yadong, Mount Kailash and Manasarova Lake. Without this permit, neither domestic nor foreign travelers can travel to these destinations. However, the pass cannot be used alone, so tourists should get it from the Tibetan Armed Police Frontier Corps in Lhasa with the help of the local Tibetan travel agency.
