Due to the special weather of the highland, Tibet is in its best in October. Rainy season (July and August) has gone, making the visibility and road condition perfect for traveling. Yet the temperature hasn't dropped yet. You will have the best view of Everest against the blue sky.

Fewer Tourists

Compared with other tourist sites, Tibet is an off-the-beatan-path due to its environment and high altitude. 

Foreign travelers have to apply for the Tibet Travel Permit if going to Tibet. Even Chinese citizens will need a special document if they plan to go outside of Lhasa city, which limits the number of travlers to Tibet.

It has strict quota for sites like Potala Palace and Everest, which means it has almost the same traveler amount as normal days.

Thanks to the reasons above, you will never see the "breathtaking view" you may witness at other sites. 

Cheaper Price

Costs for travel will skyrocket when it comes to Nationa Holiday. However, Tibet is opposite because Tibet's peak season, Chinese summer holiday (July and August) has passed. Price for travel, instead of rising up dramatically, will fall compared to July and August.

Things to Do

Taste the authentic family feast. Drink a cup of buttered tea and try some highland beef.

Stand at the foot of Mount Qomolangma, waiting for the marvellous sunrise that you can never imagine before.

Make friends with local Tibetans and learn their real history, culture and religion. Friendly Tibetan people will show your an utterly different world from the rest parts you have visited before!
